Self-aligning ball bearings are mainly used in situations where the shaft is prone to deflection or the positioning accuracy of the bearing seat hole in the long shaft is poor. They are suitable for bearing heavy loads and impact loads, precision instruments, low-noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles, metallurgy, rolling mills, mining, petroleum, papermaking, cement, sugar pressing and other industries and general machinery.
This type of bearing has a self-aligning performance and can compensate for centering errors, shaft deformation and bearing seat deformation. It is suitable for transmission bearings where it is difficult to align the shaft and the upper shell, and the shaft is prone to deflection. The outer ring raceway of the self-aligning ball bearing is processed into a spherical shape, and the inner ring has two deep groove raceways. It is mainly used to bear radial loads. While bearing radial loads, it can also bear a small amount of axial loads, but generally cannot bear pure axial loads. Its maximum speed is lower than that of deep groove ball bearings.
